This will basically focus on my opinions and personal feelings about my experience with my two knock off Urban Decay (UD) palettes, Naked and Naked2. Along with my opinions and experience with the authentic Urban Decay eyeshadow products in various shades. Some of them were the "same shade" so I even got some comparisons for you!!

First off let me start by saying I knew I was buying knock off products. I wanted to compare their quality to that of the real UD product. I bought my knock off Naked2 first... The assembly quality of product itself is not terrible but nothing like a real UD product. My mirror wasn't attached to the palette so it needed to be glued in again and it opens/shuts poorly. The eye shadow quality was what you would expect for the price you have to pay. There was minimal fallout when used and they are pretty buttery overall. The light matte shades are not very pigmented, maybe if you had a darker skin tone they would show up better. They also do not last as long as the real UD product.

My overall rating for the Naked2 knock off on a scale of 1-5 is a 3. Not bad, not great, just good enough.

Here is it in the pan and on my arm.

Next I found a knock off Naked palette. It is overall a nice product. Once again the matte colors were very faint. This has actually become a daily go to palette. Maybe this was an easier product to duplicate, I am not sure, but I love it. I am sure that if I had a TRUE UD Naked palette that this would just be a piece of junk but I do enjoy it. One again there is minimal fallout when using the product and the product is as good as you could expect for your money.

This one was easier to rate on a scale of 1-5 it got a 4. If I ever get enough money to buy the real one this could drop but until then a 4 it is!

Here is the photo of it in the pans and on my arm.

After buying both of my knock off palettes it got me thinking... How do these REALLY stack up to some real UD eye shadows? So I set out on my next mission, to find the colors in these two palettes and compare them to one another. I purchased a group of UD singles pictured below. From top to bottom: Jones, Half Baked, Snakebite, Smog, Desperation, Oil Slick, and Polyester Bride. I am BLOWN AWAY by the quantity of true UD products. They are so smooth and buttery. The pigment is just as good from color to color no matter how light. Polyester Bride shows up just as well as Oil Slick. I can't say enough good things about this brand and all I have tried is the eye shadows! I love these so much I dont even need to rate them individually. I can rate them as a brand.

Urban Decay eye shadows on a scale from 1-5 is a 10!!

Here in them on my arm, in the pan, and one below is their labels.

Last but not least on our list of things to cover on this post... Comparison shots of the colors I had corresponding names to in REAL vs KNOCK OFF! I will tell you the name of the colors but I want you fine people to post down in the comments which is real and which is fake! On the left side of this photo from top to bottom we have Snakebite, Half Baked, and Smog. I also have a the real Naked Basic so I compared Foxy from it with foxy from my knock off. Which one if real??? Comment comment comment! =)

Printable Chalkboard Sign Tutorial

Due to the high demand for a tutorial on Addy's chalkboard sign I bring you... *drum roll*

Printable Chalkboard Sign Tutorial!

For today's tutorial I will show you everything you will need to know to create a custom sign for any occasion. I personally will not be making another birthday sign like the one above, but you will get all the nesecary instructions you'll need to create whatever you'd like! Alright, let's get started! I'm going to start with a PRE-torial to the tutorial. So that everyone can get what we will need at their mouse tips to do this project!

First off if you have Microsoft Publisher you could do this with that program, but for the general populations use I will be using a free programs available to everyone! Here is a list of thing you will Need:

  1. To install fonts see pictures on the right. 1.Click download on the fonts you like. I run on Google Chrome, so any of my downloads pop up in a bar on the bottom of my internet browser and I just click them. Then click on the downloaded font. Open the font file and install, Pretty simple!
  2. After you have you fonts and Photoscape downloaded an installed find yourself a nice chalkboard background. I just literally searched Google for a "chalkboard background" and saved a nice extra large one to my computer. I linked the one i used above.
  3. Take your chalkboard background over to Picmonkey.com and make a collage. When you start it will give you three sections. Delete two of the sections so that you're only left with the one. Now re-size your page to 2400x3000 which is equal to a 16x20 print. Upload your chalkboard background and drag it to your page. Save this newly sized chalkboard background to you computer.
  4. Go to Photoscape, select the editor, and open up your chalkboard background that you saved from Picmonkey. By now your screen should look like the first one below. Except the fact that the skin on my editor is black. Yours could possibly be a different color.
  5. Click on the tab labeled object. From here is where all of your chalkboard effects will come from. That tab looks like the second picture below.

                                                     ^^^

Your screen should look similar to this. If so, OK! Now we are ready to really have some fun!

  • *The single T in this tab is for using a single font at a time. The double T is so that you can make each word or letter a different font. I prefer to use the single font. It is easier for me to control personally. So when I add any new text it is with the single T.*

1. I'm going to make a "Welcome to Addy's Birthday" poster this go around. So first off I will add text that reads "Welcome" to the top of the poster.

2. To add doodles to your sign you will simply add another layer of text. Select the desired font/doodle and play with all of you numbers, symbols, and letters to find neat doodles. Some doodles even come in the form of words like my "to" in the photo below.

3. Continue on adding more layers of text in different fonts and sizes. Keeping each one close enough to the others that it looks creative but not so close that they are on top of each other.

4. To add lines under words or around thing you will click on the diagonal line directly underneath the word "crop." Use the settings to create the type of line you'd like to create. For my use I'm creating a solid line with nothing at the ends and my thickness is set to 1.

5. Continue adding layers of text and doodles till you have something you are nearly happy with. Now we are going to add a frame if you'd like one. I wait till the end for this because it gets increasingly hard to select the layer you want to move when you have a layer or two that cover the entire page. You will click on either the square next to your line tool or the rounded square if you'd like rounded corners. Stretch this tool across the page. Where you see the dotted line is where your border will fall. To make more intricate frames add different types of lines.

6.Nearly done!! Now that you have the basics finish up your sign to your liking. I'm going to add more doodles to make it look super spiffy!!

ALL DONE!!!

I hope this is helpful to those of you with interest in making one of these for an upcoming birthday or special occasion! They are so neat and easy to make that I might just make a new one to hang in my house year round!! If you have any trouble feel free to comment below or send me an email. If you see that I had some spelling or grammar issues, MYYY BAAAD. LOL. I rushed through this so that a few people could figure this out before a birthday! Enjoy!!

Milani Lipstick Rose Hip Review

Recently I found NYX lipstick in nude. It has been a favorite but there is just to much shine for my liking. Soo I hunted down a dupe for MAC lipstick in Candy Yum Yum. I came across Milani lipstick in Rose Hip. It is matte, highly pigmented, and smells superb!  I was really hoping that the smell would be good since NYX smells so fantastic and Milani did the trick for me! I put it on at lunch when we bought it and it was still there when I took my make-up off! So it is a very long wear! I can't wait to get more Milani shades maybe a nude one next! Two thumbs up!

A little about me

I thought since I hadn't really been posting much I'd give an intro from my mobile! My life's work is being a mommy to a beautiful little barbie girl. She is about as perfect as they come. Someday ill give her an intro too! I've been half way through cosmetology then took a break when I got married. I'm in my 20's early or late, I will never tell! :) I'm always busy doing something. Cooking, crafting, cleaning, drawing, painting, anything I can do to pass the time! My husband is Mr. Fix it and I do plan to share easy how to tips with y'all when he does stuff around the house. I'm fun, outgoing, spontaneous, loud, vivacious, and sometimes overwhelming! Above all I tend to be lovable. So stick around and I am sure to please, or at least try my best to please my readers. I want to hear from anyone out there.  What should I do next to get readers here? Make up, craft, recipe, DIY, help me get you interested! I love to ramble too by the way. If you couldn't tell. Welp I'm going to jump off here and go snap some make up pictures to share and see what you're interested in hearing about!

Leopard Coffee Cup DIY

Simple tutorial!
All you'll need is your sharpies or permanent markers of choice, an oven safe coffee cup, an oven, and some creativity!

1. Outline the shape of your leopard spots. Honestly the less perfect you try to make it the better they look.

2. Color in your black outline.

3. Color in your spots with color, or just leave them open. It's up to you!

4. Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 350º leave them in to cool off. I bake mine at night, shut off the oven after 30 minutes, then crack the oven and leave them all night.

You're done! You can apply this same technique to any oven safe dish, any design, any colors! Just have fun!

Color Whisper & Colour Riche Balm Product Reviews

I'm a fan of light wear day time makeup. I enjoy having a light coverage foundation, fantastic eyes, and moisturized lips! The newest addition to my makeup bag has been Maybelline Color Whiper, in the shade "Some Like it Taupe." It has a nice soft color, a little shine, and glides on super smooth!

I have to admit to being kind of naughty while buying my lipstick... I really like the color pink and the shade I was buying came with a tan top. So I took them off and switched it with a pink one! It wasn't very nice to whoever buys that other lipstick, but it made me a couple happy customer!

I also bought Colour Riche Lip Balm in the shade "Pink Satin." Indulge your lips with tinted SPF 15 lip balm. Lips are soft and supple all day long. This one give continued moisture but it doesn't glide on as smoothly as the Maybelline Color Whisper in my opinion.

Both are very great for the price and light enough to allow me to play up my eyes a little more! For half of the department price and all of the benefits you can't go wrong with these two.

Grade Scale:1-5 low-high

Maybelline
Shine-4
Moisture-5
Color-5
Package-5
Overall: 19 points, A

Lórėal

In my book Color Whisper wins due to being in silver packaging instead of the gold!
